Use your skills to improve the lives of Youth/children, their families and environmental Education as a volunteer in Tanzania.

Caretakers Tanzania has started to work in the Country since the early 2005, and has seen how needs have grown. Your talents and interests will be carefully matched with the immediate needs in our host communities. Choose from service opportunities scheduled year-around in this small, impoverished country. TEACH AND ASSIST SCHOOL/COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Volunteer in Tanzania! Work on School / Community development projects including teaching, building school environment and establishing environmental clubs, and supplying books and other school materials as well as help to organise cleaning campaign and clean beaches, river banks, plant trees, botanic gardens

Teach HIV/AIDS in schools, community,local CBOs, Youth based Groups, help to lunch poverty eradication campaign, teach computer and etc

Help improve impoverished Tanzanian children's potential in this nationally recognized educational program. Work alongside local teachers and students during the school year in remote partner communities. Our hosts make certain your skills and interests are put to the best use on long-term community infrastructure, teaching and medical projects. Your efforts will help ease the suffering and engender hope for the future of students and their families. Lend your heart and hands to make a world of difference!

Caretakers Volunteer Work Projects
Volunteers live and work in one distinct and remote villages and Mwanza City helping repair school / community environmental structures,startings new gardens, painting classrooms, building desks and chairs, and assist with other construction and labor tasks. Volunteers may also teach beginning through intermediate English pronunciation and conversation in a high school classrooms. English is the language of instruction,Environmental Education, you will find that the students' English comprehension is limited. All projects are in the Magu district, a one hour journey from Mwanza city, the seconda largest nation's city. Work projects vary from team to team, as needs arise.

On some teams physicians, nurses, dentists and physical therapists may work part-time at schools /rural clinics performing examinations and well-baby checkups. Volunteers also provide basic computer instruction on portable computers donated through various schools and organizations.


What are the main work projects?
The emphasis is on education - teaching, public health (HIV/AIDS), and poverty eradication, and building & repair school/community environment. Volunteers paint classrooms, help to start gardens, help implement /start various programs /campaign, and assist with a variety of other tasks related to the Restoration and Establishing of Environmental Clubs in secondary schools and in the villages communites.

How long has Caretakers Volunteers been working in Tanzania?
Caretakers Tanzania is for the first time invites to Tanzania Volunteer .Many Organisation have been inviting volunteer to on a regular basis under the direction of local people.

Who is Caretakers Tanzania?
This is a Tanzanian host and Not for Profit Organizations founded November 2004 , however, we work with local organizations / Youth lead groups and schools that are on the ground doing the work of human environmental and economic and sustainable development in Tanzania, the Caretakers of The Environment International Tanzania a major role in this effort.

Tanzania Volunteer Free Time
Volunteers enjoy cooking and basket-weaving lessons, attending various community ceremonies and playing soccer with the local people and visiting a nearby in Sukuma and Butiama village. There are opportunities to arrange safaris in Serengeti. (If you leave the community, free-time arrangements and costs are your responsibility.)
